This post is just for my Next Level members because I know how much you love detail. Here is my Kick Ass Next level morning routine:
6am Wake Up- Alarm – O’Jays For the Love of Money (Apprentice Theme Song) This alarm is used when I need to get up early and I know I won’t be happy about it. It quickly reminds me that you got to work to get those Greenbacks!
6:15am Stretching Hydrating Dynamic Warm Up (See the Dynamic Warm Up for the Gym Video in the Video Archive!)
Introduction to Indian Clubs. I am seriously going to master these bad boys! If you want to follow along or don’t know what they are go to Perform Better and check them out! Here is a link to the Indian Club page: http://tinyurl.com/ngtevo8
I highly recommend you leave your ego at the door and go for the 1lbs to start!
6:45am Run in the forrest trails, drink from the natural aquifer, run the trails home. You can use the field workout that I also use when Im on the road. Just find a soccer pitch or a football field and sprint as fast as you can from the end zone to the 50 yard line then decelerate and walk to the other end zone. Turn around and sprint again. Repeat for 10 reps. Each rep consists of 1 length of the field. The idea here is a work to rest interval of about 1: 2.5/3 which I like. The goal will be to try and maintain your speed from the first rep right to the 10th rep!
7am Kettle Bell Workout: 30 KB Swings, 5/Arm Cleans to Press, 5/Arm KB Snatch, 180 Jumps on 3 Ft Wall, 10 Squat To Press. Repeat entire Circuit for 3 sets.
7:15am Meditate: Headspace App for 15 minutes while I get my breathing under control and cool down.
7:30am Shower (Use your imagination)
7:45am Porridge (Plain Quick Oats, Coconut Oil, Chia Seeds, Almond Milk, Banana, Berries, Almonds, Plain Greek Yogurt, Local Honey)
8am #GrassFedBuddahInDeCoffeeOvaDare Coffee (Grass Fed Butter, MCT Oil, 2 Shots of Espresso)
Its SHOWTIME!!!!! Get in the office and get some quality work done. I start with my creative stuff before even looking at emails. Often you will get an email first thing in the morning that will require your attention and may divert you away from your planned day. Emails are the ultimate day de-railer so I avoid them until after i have set up my check list for the day and written something creative.
The key to morning routines is consistency. Take out the guess work! Make each day the same with the same elements so you can save the brain space for creative or productive things. Share in the comments section below any of your own tweaks to this routine that you want to share with your fellow Next Level Members!
